CTE Skills operates under IEC Simulations Inc. which was founded in 1999 by Gary Cliett.

After working in the Petrochemical industry for 26 years Gary developed a new way of training through a revolutionary class that greatly improves print reading and troubleshooting skills, not only making the workplace more efficient but also creating a safer environment.

With the use of a simulator designed by Gary himself, this hands on class is now taught all over the country and throughout industry.

Several years after the design of the special simulator program, what we now call CTESkills.com was born. Originally known as Maintenance Pro, we began to video specific tasks to use as a visual training tool within refineries. Our concept was simple, if we could video the expert performing specific tasks, we could capture that knowledge and turn it into a comprehensive training program that would be easily accessible for years to come. No more reading long procedures or sitting through extensive seminars. At the click of a button, you can have an expert trainer 24/7. Visually teaching you step by step in a clear, concise manner.

Although we started in industry, CTE has since been adopted into the classrooms of colleges and high schools for topics ranging from cosmetology to welding. Virtually any course topic can be turned into a video series, all you need to do is ask.
